Crowded Emptiness
The heart of this project lies in deception. A speaker was placed under the stairwell in an empty hallway at Weber State University, this speaker was emitting a crowded soundscape of people that had been recorded elsewhere. This creates a strong dichotomy between what is being heard, and perceived as a group of people, though in the space only emptiness actually exists.
